California-style couture was in full effect at yesterday’s Shine on Sierra Leone Fundraiser, in Venice, California. Everyone including Lisa Bonet looked super. The celebs had the  West Coast groove…no shortage of linens, folk-craft cottons, and silky duds in mineral blue and gray. We turned our Posh Dial up to High for the best shoes to match.

Whoopi Goldberg’s TV pals Joy Behar, Barbara Walters and other showbiz headliners converged to celebrate the musical adaptation of Sister Act, which opened  in New York yesterday at the Broadway Theatre. We spotted lots of celebrity faces attending The Cinema Society & Nancy Gonzalez screening of “Meek’s Cutoff” at the Landmark Sunshine Cinema in New York earlier this week. New York socialites like a good reason to try on gowns and this week’s Young Fellows Ball at The Frick Collection was the best reason around. The Frick Collection is every romantic’s favorite museum. The  beautiful gowns looked right at home at the Frick, as did the socialites who wore them.
