Since its launch this past Thursday September 9th, Lincoln Center has proven to be a welcome new home to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week providing a much more spacious location than the previous Bryant Park headquarters, where Fashion Week had been held for the past 17 years.

With a dazzling array of celebrities, including Jessica Simpson, model Tyson Beckford, “Project Runway” host Heidi Klum, and iconic designer Betsy Johnson, who unveiled her dazzling Autumn-Winter 2010-2011 collection this past February, there was no shortage of glamour in the air.

Known for her outrageous and whimsical styles, we think this funky-fresh pair of booties – “Ash” by Iona – would easily complement anything from Betsey’s hot new line!

So far, Fashion Week featured one of the fashion word’s newest darlings, designer Christian Siriano, whose Spring/Summer 2011 collection lit up the catwalk to the delight of the audience. With elegant footwear that set off his impeccable collection, we couldn’t help but notice a fantastic variety of strappy stilettos, sandals, patent-leather boots and chunky heels that offset his gossamer collection of chic silhouettes, goddess-inspired gowns and gorgeous separates that has made him a favorite of the show so far.

We think this sexy black satin peep-toe platform pump by Pelle Moda would pair wonderfully with a Christian Siriano evening gown or simply wearing out for a night on the town.

1950’s glam was another hot trend indicated by Fashion’s Night Out runway show, brainchild of Vogue’s Anna Wintour. The Lincoln Center event featured models in bouffant beehive-do’s, streamlined silhouettes and classic stilettos to complete the vintage-inspired look that lit up the runway.

So what’s our ultimate pick for retro-fall fashion? The timeless black soft patent-leather Swoon by Stuart Weitzman – featuring leather outsoles and cushioned leather insoles, it’s a classic staple every woman should have in her wardrobe this season.
