It was the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s 2011 Golden Globe Awards ceremony on January 16. Held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California, the event’s red carpet was brimming with haute couture gowns— some hits, some misses. Check out our take on three of the night’s most talked about looks.
Heidi Klum stepped out of her fashion “box” with this unconventional and extremely colorful Marc Jacobs gown. We always love the use of color, but her gold shoes with coral hued heels seem to be a tab too much. Adding a pair of solid-tone shoes like Steve Madden Haylow sandal in gold would have worked better. These Steven Madden shoes have been known to add glitz and glam to any event.
Halle Berry, the Frankie & Alice Best Actress nominee, is the only one who could pull off this daring Nina Ricci bustier number. She paired the sheer dress with diamond bracelet cuffs and ankle-strap, high-heel sandals in black. Our choice of shoe would have been the Diane Von Furstenberg Zia in black suede. These DVF shoes boast a soft, supple band of suede wraps the foot in modern style.
Megan Fox looked softer than usual in her pink Armani Prive bandage frock, which featured a thigh-high slit. Her bone colored open-toe pumps with an ankle strap elongated her legs; however, we would have liked her in Stuart Weitzman Evening’s Avalon sandal in silver. These glittery Stuart Weitzman Evening shoes would have complimented the dress’s silver sequins nicely.
