Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow

in Badgley Mischka shoes, Celebrity Fashion, Marc Jacobs shoes, Stuart Weitzman shoes

If you follow celebrity news, you may know that actress Anne Hathaway recently chopped the majority of her hair off to play the character “Fantine” in the movie adaptation of Les Miserables. It doesn’t seem that she loves the look, but we think she looks cute. Even still, it’s all in the name of theater and it will grow back soon. Many other celebs including Hilary Swank and Natalie Portman chopped off their lovely locks for film roles. Others still cut their hair off just for fun, like Willow Smith. Here is just a sample of those many celebrities.

Rihanna and Marc Jacobs 625970

Though Rihanna is working long curls here, she’s had shorter styles including short bobs and pixie cuts. Rihanna is also working some hot heels with an athletic outfit.  This look is different, but not necessarily difficult to pull off. We’ve seen it before, but it’s not a common look among everyday folk. At first glance, Rihanna looks like she is about to hit the gym. She’s spotted in Miami after lunch with friends rocking a white tee and athletic shorts, but look closer. She pairs her sporty look with several accessories not fit for fitness including hoop earrings, multiple bangles and chains and strappy sandals similar to the Marc Jacobs 625970. Pair these Marc Jacobs heels with your favorite skimpy sport shorts to snag her look.

Carey Mulligan and Badgley Mischka Stella

Carey Mulligan is an English actress who has starred in films including “Pride and Prejudice”, “Never Let Me Go” and “Drive”. The twenty six year old star is seen here at the Hollywood Film Awards in a sparkly little black dress with peep toe pumps, similar to the Badgley Mischka Stella. These fun Badgley Mischka shoes feature lace an sequins for a great night time look.  This pair would look great with any LBD, adding some glitz to basic black and accenting a playful dress like Carey’s. Carey didn’t chop off her locks just for a movie – she’s always rocked short styles and the pixie cut really flatters her.

Halle Berry and Stuart Weitzman Fjord

Superstar Halle Berry has short, spiky hair through out most of her film career and it really flatters her face. She looks gorgeous no matter how long or short her hair is but a cropped cut is classic Halle. She even donned short hair in her 2002 James Bond flick, “Die Another Day”. This made her the only Bond girl at the time with short hair, and the first African American Bond Girl.  Here Halle is seen out shopping  in jeans and a tank. She layers her look with a long striped sweater and accessories with shades, hoops, a hobo bag and wedge ankle boots, similar to the Stuart Weitzman Fjord. These stylish Stuart Weitzman Boots feature a simple silhouette that works well with denim more than a dress. – it’s a cute, casual shoe.
