As you may know, celebrities are always pushing the envelope, trying new trends, and trying to start their own. They love experimenting with colors, styles, prints, cuts and their look as a whole. Whether its bold makeup or backless t-shirts, they will try it. Certain celebs are extraordinarily experimental like Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj and Willow Smith. Celebs like Katy Perry and Rihanna aren’t far behind, but nearly every celeb takes fashion risks. Here are some recent risky looks, what do you think? Hit or Miss?
Rihanna and Tkees Foundations
Here, Rihanna is seen walking the red carpet at the world premiere of her new movie and first film ever, “Battleship” in Japan. Her hair is edgy but perfect for her and her makeup is flawless. We’re not so sure about her gold leaf pant suit which seems to be inspired by silk pajamas. We know she must be cozy, but it might not be the best look we’ve seen. She pairs the pant suit pajamas with nearly nude sandals similar to the Tkees Foundations. Tkees sandals are available in a variety of neutral shades that can make you look barefoot too, but brighter options are also available. The sandals are simple, comfy and chic. Rihanna’s sandals have at least two of those traits – you pick which.
January Jones and Giraffe Walk Jaipur
This look isn’t such a stretch for modern hipster types like Alexa Chung and Chloe Sevigny but it’s quite different from the classic and preppy styles that actress January Jones often wears. She pairs cropped pants with cream colored oxfords similar to the Giraffe Walk Jaipur. She rolls up the sleeves of her polka dot sweater and adds dark shades and a straw hat. We just love her boxy bag. These Giraffe Walk shoes are an effortlessly chic choice for spring and summer weather.
Heidi Klum and Civic Duty Fascination
Heidi Klum looks more like a mechanic than a model here taking her kids Henry and Johan to karate practice. She sports an all grey ensemble that’s over sized and reminiscent of a utility jumpsuit. Yes, jumpers and rompers are in style and we’re sure she’s comfy in the suit and matching sneakers, similar to the Civic Duty Fascination but we’re not sure if this particular one piece look is hot or not. Will this style be a new trend? It’s up to you, but the Civic Duty sneakers should definitely be a new trend. They’re not just cute and convenient (they slip on), the brand makes affordable and Eco-friendly sneakers in a variety of colors and styles.
