If you’re a young star and kid’s love you, you’ll probably do well. You’ll have fans for years and the kids will grow with you. You’ll also set style trends for a younger generation so you should be careful what you wear. If you’re fans are teens and tweens, you don’t want to be too scandalous. Most of the Nickleodeon Kids Choice Nominees are wholesome stars, occasionally risque but fun and seemingly genuine. In honor of the award show, which aired yesterday, here are some of the nominees that make notable if not worthy fashion role models for kids and adults these days.

Selena Gomez and Stuart Weitzman Platswoon

Disney star, Selena Gomez is nineteen years old and incredibly classy, not to mention talented. The singer and actress was nominated for two award, favorite singer and favorite t.v. actress – she won both. Her show “Wizard’s of Waverly Place” was also nominated for best show.  Here Selena wears a white dress with minimal silver accessories and nude patent pumps, similar to the Stuart Weitzman Platswoon. It’s a simple but stunning look and her understated pumps were a perfect choice. Stuart Weitzman’s collection features many shoe essentials like this pair, as well as snazzy evening options. This look is fresh, chic and age appropriate – we love it!

Katy Perry and Kate Spade Bandit

Although not as classically dressed as our other stylish nominees, we love Katy’s adorable  neon green look. She wore this playful outfit to the Kids Choice Awards where she snagged an award for Favorite Voice From an Animated Movie. She voiced smurfette in the recent cartoon, “The Smurfs”. She’s won nearly 80 awards in her career, wonder where she keeps them all? Katy Perry with her unique looks inspires playfulness in kids and adults alike, and what’s more fun than these lovely lime Kate Spade Bandit Wedges. These Kate Spade heels are very on trend as neon is big right now. Check out www.jildorshoes.com for all your neon footwear needs.

Emma Watson and Michael Kors Berkley

Emma Watson was nominated for “Favorite Movie Actress”; she lost out to Kristen Stewart of “Twilight” fame, but we still love her. She is a talented, poised young actress who hasn’t been caught up in scandals like so many others. She’s also super smart, completing her degree at Brown University this year, and she works for free advising and promoting fair trade fashion brand People Tree. Here Emma rocks a cut out dress and strappy sandals, similar to the Michael Kors Berkley, at the National Movie Awards in London. These funky Michael Kors sandals look fantastic with everything from denim to dresses. We’d say that this outfit is best for the eighteen and up crowd, but it isn’t particularly scandalous.  It’s a great, young look, for Emma who will be 22 in just two weeks.
