Madrid makes some fashion heat

Madrid’s catwalks lit up this weekend and the shows are hotter than hot. Models with out-there makeup and gorgeous electric colors remind us that Madrid is a hotbed for the creative arts. Over 40 designers are showing their collections during Madrid Fashion Week. We feature some of the most interesting highlights of the Cibeles’ Catwalks here. Enjoy!

This model for AA de Amaya Arzuaga crystallizes the quality of the Milan showings, which say much about shoes as well as clothes. Models with strong, athletic legs accent the way shoes help to define a look. For defining this look, we go with Dolce Vita. We like the Dolce Vita Jade Sandal Black Leather. Its rear-zip entry with tassel pull adds to the luxury look.

Ugg Australia Women’s boots are wardrobe must-haves for their utter versatility in playing dress-up, dress-down, or, in this ensemble, both. The model shows a wonderful dress/pant design from Ailanto. The pattern looks like a hand-crafted wonder in gray and ivory. Every bit the shoe companion is the Ugg Australia Women’s Classic Cardy Grey.

A Stuart Weitzman luxury flat can do this electric head-turner, who looks ready to slip into her custom Porsche, no wrong. We love the fact that 2011 marks the red family as a bigger clan than previously imagined, forked into lipstick reds, strawberry, pink-reds and sapphire. We like the dress-up yet easy look of a shoe with this Ana Locking creation. The Stuart Weitzman Giveable Bone Leather Ballet Flat makes a super shoe companion here.
