New York’s social set at the Frick

New York socialites like a good reason to try on gowns and this week’s Young Fellows Ball at The Frick Collection was the best reason around. The Frick Collection is every romantic’s favorite museum. The  beautiful gowns looked right at home at the Frick, as did the socialites who wore them.

The Pour La Victoire shade of caramel is true to its name–not pearly pink, not sandy eggshell, but a shade truly worthy of  a masterprice beige dress like this, worn by Sloan Overstrom. This is the Pour La Victoire Irina Platform Pump Camel Patent.

Olivia Chantecaille had a very 2011 dress with all the in-style touches of single off-shoulder, belted waist and long sleeve. We can only think of Vera Wang Lavender on looks like these, particularly the Vera Wang Lavender Susie Black Silk, with stone detailing.

Designer Rachel Roy made her rounds in this moonlight sensation of a dress, which Stuart Weitzman Evening can enhance with his Stuart Weitzman Evening Outnout Sandal Silver Glitter. This nicely styled shoe is made in Spain.
