Not Your Daily Grind: ‘Burlesque’ Debuts

La-la land’s most celebrated hips were seen at the LA premiere of the film Burlesque on Monday night. This is the new film everyone’s talking about. The star is little blonde with big voice Christine Aguilera, Cher, Eric Dane and other talents. Burlesque is about a small-town girl who pursues her dreams—if you want to call a rope with tassels a career ladder—to LA. We won’t lie: some outfits we saw made us want to yell Take It Off but not out of lust. When it comes to shoes, of course, we knew how to Put It On.

Rebecca Gayheart arrives for the ‘Burlesque’ premiere with husband Eric Dane, a member of the cast. We give Rebecca a red carpet award for hair-style, makeup, and dress with its romantic puffed sleeves. We think she needs to add a little spunk to her feet and no better way than with the impeccable styles of Vera Wang Lavender shoes. Shoes that would totally celebrate her Spectacular-ness  are these Vera Wang Lavender Susie grey silk evening sandals with stone detail, made in Italy.

Kristin Cavallari did the red carpet with her own performance of God I’m Cute in a green dress. We love her tanned, healthy glow but don’t you wonder if she knows that you don’t put cocktail dresses in washing machines?  Looks as if it shrank a couple of hems ago. All she needed were these ballerina darlings. They are Tory Burch Reva distressed-python camel leather ballet flats.

No, we don’t know what to make of this either. Patricia Clarkson did her own rendition of faux see-through dress with mucho-strapped shoes. Then again, she possibly rushed off in her night slip without realizing she still had to get dressed. Oh, whatever. We have the fix for it: Pour la Victoire Irina platform pump in black leather for a more credible liftoff into evenings out.
