You don’t need heels to look fabulous, and don’t need to fall flat in flats. Flats are fun, fresh, cute and comfy and stars are spotted sporting them all the time. You can wear them almost anywhere and with anything, as the stars show below, in our favorite ‘flat’ looks of 2012. You can easily recreate these looks with sweet dresses, cool crops, stylish shades and of course, black flats.

Bow Adorned Flats

Reese Witherspoon

Tory Burch Eddie

Here actress Reese Witherspoon is seen leaving church in a sweet patterned dress that’s perfect for her. It’s a great length, color and fit. Her accessories are flawless from her shades to her structured bag and of course, her fantastic flats, similar to the Tory Burch Eddie. These gorgeous Tory Burch flats have a subtle bow that adds a chic, classic vibe. We’re loving this look for many reasons and Reese looks absolutely adorable.  It just goes to show you can stay super stylish when expecting – she’s several months pregnant in this shot.

Basic Black Flats

Jessica Alba

Tory Burch Eddie

Actress Jessica Alba has two gorgeous daughters and one great sense of style. Here she keeps it casual and cool after a business meeting with a marketing agency in Santa Monica, CA. She pairs Audrey Hepburn-esque black cropped bottoms with a plaid button up and simple ballet flats similar to the Tory Burch Eddie. If you’re looking for a spicier black flat this Tory Burch pair also comes in a great glitter version. This look, sans shades, is great for casual fridays or looking great while running errands.

Sleek Patent Flats

Jessica Lowndes

Tory Burch Eddie

Canadian actress, Jessica Lowndes of  the new “90210″ fame, walks to the doctor in a super cute casual look. She wears a fantastic abstract patterned purple corset dress with a lightweight white sweater and black bag and flats, similar to the Tory Burch Eddie. Patent flats, like these Tory Burch Shoes will always add something extra to a look. We love the white sweater; black would make the look a little too dark instead of young and fun. This great day dress, if accessorized right, could be worn for evening events as well. Swap the flats for heels, take off the sweater and add some bling. As is, this ensemble is great for a date or a day at the mall with friends.
