The red carpet is a place where celebs try to look their best, knowing they will be photographed dozens of times, from all angles. They pay fashion stylists to choose the perfect dress, shoes and accessories. They have make-up artists and hair stylists decking them out and making them shine – for the most part. Some stars use the red carpet to play around, have fun, take risks and make a statement. That’s fine too, celebs can get away with it. Here are some interesting red carpet looks with stylish shoes that would be best suited to more subtle looks.
Nicki Minaj and Hunter Original Glossy
Here Miss Minaj is seen gracing the runway at the I Heart Radio music festival. She wears a frilly corseted dress with pigtails and patterned tights. Her necklace looks somewhat like a liver and she chooses a bold wristband to add to her accessories. She completes the look with bold boots similar to the Hunter Glossy Original. These bright Hunter rain boots are known for their quality and are available in a variety of colors. They’d be best suited for pairing with pants on a rainy day.
Sarah Jessica Parker and Michael Kors Josie
Sarah is spotted at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Benefit Gala. She wears a unique look that we totally get – cute dress, strappy sandals similar to the Michael Kors Josie, nice hair and makeup, but then, she has some sort of plaid sheath covering her pretty dress. The tartan toga may not be flattering but her sandals, like this Michael Kors pair, are universally adorable.
Rihanna and Kate Spade Davie
Rihanna attends the 2011 Brit Awards in a candy colored dress. Color is a great thing, but there is such a thing as too much and this dress can overwhelm. The floral bodice is quite pretty but doesn’t work well with the neon skirt and bow. She does make a good choice with her bright blue shoes, similar to the Kate Spade Davie. Bright shoes are fun and playful but they should not be paired with too much existing color. These Kate Spade shockingly hued shoes have a funky origami style toe which is super trendy.
