Rocking the Red Carpet

January 12, 2011

in Celebrity Fashion, Chinese Laundry shoes, Chloe shoes, Pour La Victoire shoes

The National Board of Review of Motion Pictures Gala was held on January 11 at Cipriani 42nd Street, New York City.  The evening’s fete dished out honors to the top movies of the past year. Attendees included Hollywood power couple Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck, The Fighter co-stars Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale, the cast of The Social Network, and tons more.

Blake Lively looked stunning on the red carpet wearing a dark purple dress with ruffle detailing at the shoulders from the Marchesa spring 2011 collection. Completing her ensemble, Lively paired the dress with matching Burberry t-bar and ankle strap heels and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry. We like that the actress took a chance with the t-bar style shoes, but think ankle-straps, such as these Chinese Laundry Fire It Up heels, would have been a better choice. Plus, Chinese Laundry shoes always delivers good style, just like Blake Lively.

Michelle Williams looked ravishing in a beautiful dress from Oscar De La Renta’s spring 2011 collection. She also wore Christian Louboutin heels and a Salvatore Ferragamo clutch. The black shoes look fine with the dress, but a pair of bone colored pumps would have both elongated Williams’ gams and brought out the texture of the dress more. We suggest Pour La Victoire’s Irina Platforms in nude. Pour La Victoire shoes are always a fabulous choice.

Jennifer Garner brought runway to the red carpet in this Roland Mouret magenta leon wool-crepe dress. She chose to rock a pair of black Louboutin pumps; however, we would have preferred the look with neutral colored sandals like these Gladiator Sandals by Chloe. Chloe shoes are sexy, sassy and ultra cool, just like Garner.
