Winter is nearly finished and warmer weather is on its way, which means it’s finally time to retire those worn out boots and reach for something brighter! This season’s designers have ditched traditional pastels for bright neons, like the Kate Spade Licorice Pumps Fluorescent Yellow and Fuchsia – which officially make our must-have list for April.
The neon trend was just starting to make its way into our hearts when the leaves turned last fall. This season, it’s in full-effect, with brightly colored dresses, pants, accessories, tops, shoes and jewelry. We couldn’t be more excited to rock this look as the days heat up and the nights get longer.
We aren’t the only ones getting excited. The stars are jumping feet first into neon, and giving us some inspiration along the way. Emma Stone wore her splash of color with a nude dress and minimal jewelry for a major impact.
Ms. Stone isn’t the only one getting in on this trend. Superstars like Kim Kardashian have been seen rocking neon all season. Kim pairs her neon yellow pumps with a basic black blazer and boyfriend jeans for a casual, cool look that transitions seamlessly from day to night.
You definitely don’t need to be a celebrity to try these designer shoes for women. Neon looks amazing in any setting. Pair with a neutral pencil skirt or power suit for an unexpected but professional pop of color at the office. Jeans and a tank top make neon approachable and fun for a shopping trip or lunch date. These mega-watt designer shoes by Kate Spade are totally a girl’s single sole-mate this season.
Whether you’re rocking this look for day or night, work or play, there are a couple quick tricks to never having a fashion flub in neon.
- Decide if you want to go bright or neutral. Neon looks amazing either way, but can become cluttered and confused when paired with pastels or darker, more fall-appropriate colors.
- Keep your accessories minimal. If you want to wear hot pink shoes and a yellow clutch, skip the bright earrings to avoid sensory overload. A couple different bright colors look chic when contrasted against one another. More than a couple looks a little crazy.
- Have fun with it! Neon is all about playing around with fashion and getting noticed for all the right reasons. Keep it young and fun and you can’t go wrong.
Whether you choose to rock pants, womens’ designer pumps, purses or polish – a pop of neon is right on trend for spring shoes 2013. Designers are all about neon accessories this season and we couldn’t be happier to help usher in the new season with mega-watt style.
