The Hottest Dress Trends For Spring/Summer

April 5, 2012

in Celebrity Fashion, Michael Kors shoes, Stuart Weitzman shoes

Cute cut out dresses are all the rage right now. They are stylish and sexy, when done properly. Just a little skin can be smart, chic and seductive, and it’s certainly better than over exposure. There are hip cutouts, tummy cutouts, cutouts with lace and more. Peplum, the design element that involves added material just below the waste is also popular on both skirts and dresses. It can accentuate and even create the illusion of curves. It was popular in the eighties and the nineteen forties and now, it’s back. Capes are also making their way into wearable fashion. They are pretty unique and make an elegant statement.

Mila Kunis and Stuart Weitzman Platswoon

Mila Kunis is spotted at the Writers Guild Awards in Century, California in a little black dress with a single slit cutout, a black clutch and classic black pumps like these Stuart Weitzman Evening shoes. The Stuart Weitzman Platswoon is a perfect pick for evening affairs with it’s sweet satin sheen. Mila keeps her look from being too dark by avoiding tights and showing some skin. Miss Kunis already has two movies lined up this year including a Wizard of Oz remake. Her cutout is sexy but not too revealing and much more interesting than a simple low cut v-neck.

Anne Hathaway and Michael Kors Vivian

Brooklyn born Anne Hathaway looks flawless at the “Love & Other Drugs” Opening Night Gala during AFI FEST 2010. Her fitted ivory peplum sheath dress is sexy and sweet, it’s a perfect look from the cut and the color to the lace and the length of the sleeves. She lets the dress shine with simple accessories – a bangle and nude slingbacks, similar to the KORS by Michael Kors Vivian. These great open toed Michael Kors heels are a great choice for spring and summer looks. To top off the look, Anne matches her nails and lipstick and looks super chic. Peplum is often paired with fitted styles and can just be added to the hip area as shown in Anne’s dress or can go entirely around the area just below the waist.

Emmanuelle Chriqui and Michael Kors Berkley

Montreal born Emmanuelle has lived all over Canada including Toronto and Vancouver. She is the daughter of Moroccan Jewish immigrants and has family in Israel. She’s starred on HBO series “Entourage” and in Adam Sandler flick “You Don’t Mess With The Zohan”. She was Adam’s love interest in the cute comedy. Here, at the “Entourage” season 7 premiere, she wears a great cape cocktail dress paired with tri-strap sandals, similar tot the Michael Kors Berkley. Her straps have bows, these Michael Kors heels have an edgier look. Though this may seem like a strange trend, we’ve seen the cape pop up several times on the red carpet recently.
