Many trends have come and gone over the years, from chunky heels to paisley prints, but we just can’t seem to stay away. We’ve seen a lot of vintage inspired fashions as well as 90’s favorites including platform sneakers this year. We’ve also seen technology impact fashion and style with ultra easy nail polish wraps in fun designs that would be difficult to achieve on our own. With so many options to choose from, what were your favorite shoe and fashion trends of 2012? What do you think will be big in 2013? Here are some of our faves from 2012!
Studs and spikes were all over this year on everything from shoes to bags, jackets and more. They crossed over from the realm of ‘metal’ and became mainstream, in part due to the edgy stylings of Jeffrey Campbell. We love actress Ashley Benson’s ensemble here, topped off with studded flats similar to the Jeffrey Campbell Martini.
Actress Isla Fisher of films including ‘Confessions of a Shopaholic’ and ‘Wedding Crashers’ wears black wedge sneakers while walking around Santa Monica, CA, with daughters Olive and Elula. She pairs the casual wedges, similar to styles offered by Ash Sneakers , with another 2012 trend – printed denim. Wedge sneakers are the perfect mix of sporty and chic, are comfy and ultra-wearable. It’s no surprise that these shoes were a stand out this year and we’re sure they’ll remain in style for quite some time.
Bold Red Flats
Actress Catherine Tyldesley is seen here in a dark day dress while filming scenes for “Coronation Street”. She brightens up her look with bold red flats similar to the Tory Burch Reva. This Tory Burch flat is a popular, comfortable shoe that’s available n a variety of great colors and patterns. This year was all about bold colors and fun patterns; printed and colored denim were all the rage and the Pantone color of the year was a fresh shade of orange, Tangerine Tango.
