Spring fashion season is upon us. Designers are mixing and matching colors with their spring shoes for 2013. Pastels and neutrals are often paired with a bright pop of accent color. Chie Mihara’s Voga Sandal Multi-Snake is a good example of how neutrals, brights, and even metallics are being combined in fresh and unexpected ways. It combines three of the popular colors this season: metallic silver, emerald green, and poppy red. From evening gowns to trendy knee-length Bermuda shorts, women’s designer sandals are being worn with everything this season. This strappy snake skin sandal is also perfect with the short suits and short, sporty dresses that are so hot this season.
The top colors for spring include both diluted pastels or neutral tones and vibrant, shocking hues. Stuart Weitzman’s Mach 1 Loafer combines two of the season’s hottest trends: neon color and the classic women’s loafers. These shoes perfectly match casual short suits and even A-line sports dresses.
Other designer colors in this spring’s palette include a soft, dusky blue and a brightened-up navy or cobalt, which is often paired with a gray or metallic silver. Meanwhile, pastel chartreuse, grayish jade, and a bright emerald are the hottest greens. On the other hand, bright neon yellow, peach, and poppy red represent this season’s warm tones. A light lavender color rounds out this pretty palette.
Steve Madden’s Troopa Combat Boot Green offers a playful, tongue-in-cheek riff on this season’s dusty jade. These women’s designer boots can be paired with everything from mini shorts to sun dresses for a fun and fearless twist on one’s daily style. On the other end of the fashion spectrum, these classic Tory Burch Britton Wedge Sandals Red are right on point this season. Designer wedges for women were all over the New York catwalks this spring. Sitting on the cutting edge of fashion, models of NYC even wear this season’s wedge sandals with thick, chunky socks!
That look may not get much traction off the runway, but edgy fashion looks are definitely in this season. Leather dresses and pants continue to be hot, as are bold stripes, short and sporty A-line dresses (reminiscent of tennis wear), and cutout details on everything from evening dresses to tops. Asymmetrical hems are still in for jackets and dresses, as are off-the-shoulder evening dresses, elaborate beading and sheer fabrics.
Boots of all kinds are popular with designers, especially chunky ankle boots, which are being paired with short dresses, and knee or even thigh-high leather boots with bold cutout details, multiple buckles, and high heels.
Designer sandals, wedges and boots will keep you hot and fashion forward this spring! No matter what trend you choose, you’ll be sure to have your best foot forward.
