Today was a big day for weddings; Paul McCartney married his third wife, Nancy Shavell, in London and Kim Kardashian’s wedding special aired this evening on E! New Jersey Nets player Kris Humphries will be Kim’s second husband. They were married in a multi-million dollar ceremony in Montecito, California. In honor of these weddings, we’ll take a look at other celeb wedding celebrations and see what other super-star brides are wearing. Though we might not have millions to spend, we can certainly find cute shoes that will be just as gorgeous as Nancy’s or Kim’s, or in this case, Sara, Elizabeth and Danica.
Elizabeth Hurley and Chinese Laundry Fire It Up
Actress Elizabeth Hurley married Indian businessman Arun Nayar in 2007. Their fairytale wedding was held in two separate castles! They were married in an English castle and then had a traditional Indian ceremony in a palace. I’m glad to report the happy couple is still together. Elizabeth looked gorgeous on her wedding day in a fitted, slitted dress, tiara and silver sandals. Her stunning shoes are very similar to the Chinese Laundry Fire It Up sandals with their silver color and ankle strap. These Chinese Laundry sandals will make you look like a million bucks.
Danica McKellar and Stuart Weitzman Platswoon
Do you remember “The Wonder Years”? Precious little Winnie is all grown up! Danica McKellar was married to husband Mike Verta in 2009. As is quite traditional, she wore white pumps under her gorgeous gown. These Stuart Weitzman Evening Platswoon heels make a lovely traditional wedding shoe, in the same style as Danica’s. Stuart Weitzman has several spectacular white satin shoes, perfect for bridal wear.
Sara Rue and Pour La Victoire Aria
“Popular” actress Sarah Rue married Kevin Price this May in Pacific Palisades, California. The former Miss Rue is not known for being traditional and her wedding had a similar feel. Though her dress is classic, her reception featured hand painted beer pong tables, made by the couple themselves! As for her shoes, you can see a pop of turquoise peeking out from under her dress. Considering making your ’something blue’ these Pour La Victoire Aria slingbacks. The Pour La Victoire shoes are a lovely pale aqua – not too boring, not too bold…perfect!
